Moira Dedrick
Born in a small village in Quebec, and later moving to Ontario, Moira developed a great love for the Canadian landscape. She studied at the University of Toronto. More recently she has studied with Canadian artist and philosopher Kenneth G. Mills, studied at the Haliburton School of the Arts with John Joy, and with Greg Hindle at the Ontario College of Art and Design and privately in landscape and portraiture. In 2004 she studied figure painting and drawing for three months at Studio Escalier in Argenton-Chateau, France with Timothy Stotz and Michelle Tully, both long-time students of Ted Seth Jacobs.
Moira is a member of the Orangeville Art Group, The Portrait Society of Canada and The Portrait Society of America. She has had a one woman show at La Petite Gallery in Caledon East, been in the juried shows at the McMichael Gallery in Kleinburg, at the Dufferin County Museum, the Steam Whistle Gallery, The Art Gallery on Toro in Toronto, and the annual shows of the Orangeville Art Club. Her paintings and portraits hang in many Inns and private collections in Ontario and Quebec.
