Eric Mannella
Eric Mannella has an MFA from the Graduate School of Figurative Art, at the New York Academy of Art in New York City. He graduated cum laude with
the highest mark in the drawing department. While in New York, Mr. Mannella
studied drawing with Steven Assael, Leonid Lerman, Ted Schmidt and Dan
Thompson, anatomy with Deane Keller and Frank Porcu, and painting with Jon
DeMartin and Vincent Desiderio. After graduation, he became an assistant
drawing instructor to Ted Schmidt, founding faculty member at the New York
Academy. Mr. Mannella has a BFA from York University in Toronto, Ontario.
Upon returning to Canada in 2003, Mr. Mannella founded Atelier de
Bresoles in Montreal. His atelier has become a unique source for
comprehensive instruction in figurative art in Montreal.
Mr. Mannella is an experienced portrait artist who is able to create
fine portraiture in sculpture, painting, or drawing. He has exhibited in the
United States, France, and Canada, and is represented in many private
collections.
Mr. Mannella is the recipient of a Forbes Foundation Travel Grant, a
merit scholarship from the New York Academy, and the Prince of Wales
Scholarship from the Prince of Wales Foundation.
