Jurors for the 2013 Young Artist competition: Irena Korosec, Veronica Kvassetskaia Tsyglan, Jane Arnot Kavanagh, Judy Sinclair
We feel honoured to be members of the jury for the Portrait Society of Canada 2013 Canadian Young Artist Portrait Competition. The quality of the artwork of the young artists is on the rise and so are the number of participants which indicates a movement towards the return to classical and the technical knowledge of portraiture. This year's winners were selected based on technical knowledge, creativity and emotional impact. The choice was extremely difficult to make because of the number of entries whose work is already indicating their future achievements as professional artists. We wish every entrant all the best and encourage them to pursue their dreams!
