The second international Animal Portrait Competition for Visual Artists sponsored by the Portrait Society of Canada professional organization dedicated to enhance an understanding of the practice and technique of Portraiture and to support an education and communication with public on the Tradition of visual arts.
Animal Portrait 25 is first on-line competition. Open to artists worldwide.
General artists age 18 and older who are interested in drawing, painting and sculpting.
Submitted artworks can be 2D and 3d, drawing, painting and sculpture, all media are accepted, excluding photographs
The entry deadline is September 20,2025
Prizes:

2025 | Peoples' choice Animal Award | 500.00 CAD |
Visual artists and sculptors are invited to submit digital images of their work(s). Jurying will be conducted by a selection committee appointed by the Portrait Society of Canada. Top Finalists' works will be displayed on our Portrait Society web site from October 1-20,2025.
The final judging winners will be announced on October 20,2025 at 12 noon.
All submissions will be rated for composition, technique, application and vitality of portrait work.
Cash Awards will be mailed /e-mailed to the winners on October 21,2025
All entries must be received by September 20, 2025 at 11 pm EST.

RULES AND PROCEDURES
Open to Artists worldwide 18 year old and up.
Drawings, Paintings , Sculptures 2D and 3D(.Photograph excluding)
The submitted portraits, figurative works in any medium, paintings and sculptures are accepted
Open to all animal portraits from the earth, sea, air
Due to the Copyright Law, Photos and images from the internet and copy of artworks of other artists are not permitted for the competition.
Entry is to be by digital images uploaded to our web entry portal, or mailed in on flash drive, JPEG Format up to 5MB in size each.
Artists name, title of work, medium and size has to appear on flash drive and the registration form
Entry fee is 65.00 Cad per art work. Up to 4( four) entries artist
flash drive WILL NOT BE RETURNED(Exception: only for self-stamped and addressed envelopes which accompany the flash drive)

All entries must be postmarked on or before September 20, 2025.
