Connie Melnik
Educated at the Dundas Valley School of Art , Connie Melnik has lived, painted and taught classes in the
Puslinch and Waterloo areas of Ontario for over 30 years. Many exhibitions throughout western Ontario
have enabled her to hone her skills.
The highlight of her career was being recognized and invited to participate in the Biennale Internazionale
dell 'Arte Contemporanea, Florence, Italy in 2003.
Possessing strong individual style, Connie's paintings depict everyday people with provocative
expressions. Connie has had expansive opportunity in her formative years to reside in the Bahamas
where her curiosity to paint the Bahamian culture was developed, thus her solo exhibit at the
Fieldcote Museum, Ancaster, Ontario featuring the African American theme.
Connie resides with her husband on the family farm where she maintains her studio. Visititation to
