2025 Canadian Portrait Competition
"The Miracle of the Portrait"
December 1-20, 2025

On-Line Competition sponsored by the Portrait Society of Canada . It is open to all Canadian visual artists and to all those interested in the art of portrait in Canada. As the only professional on- line Competition in Fine Art Portraiture in Canada this will be a unique opportunity to encourage public recognition on the specialty subject of the Portrait in Contemporary Canadian art.

The entry deadline is November 20, 2025

Prizes:

Best l Portrait  Award           $ 1000.00 CAD
Peoples' Choice Award        $ 500.00 CAD

           Artists are invited to submit digital images of their work(s). Jurying will be conducted by a selection committee appointed by the Portrait Society of Canada. Top Finalists’ works will be displayed on our Portrait Society web site from December 1- 20, 2025.
The final judging winners will be announced on December 20, 2025.
All submissions will be rated for composition, technique, application and overall vitality of the portrait.
Cash Awards will be mailed to the winners on December 20, 2025.

All entries must be received by November 20, 2025.

RULES AND PROCEDURES

• Open to Artists worldwide 17 year old  and up.
• Portraits and Sculptures, all media (2 and 3 dimensional).The submitted work must be an original work of art that has not been submitted to Canadian competitions.
•  Due to the Copyright Law ,Photos and images  from the internet and copy of artworks of other artists  are not permitted for the competition.
• Entry is to be by digital images  uploaded to our  web entry portal, or mailed in on flash drive , JPEG Format up to 5MB in size each .
• Artists name, title of work, medium and size has to appear on flash drive and the registration form
• Entry fee is 60.00 Cad per art work. Up to 4( four) entries per artist
• Entry fee is 30.00 Cad per art work for Portrait Society members. Up to 4 entries per artist. Online registration- submission are available from personal members page( for members only)
• flash drive WILL NOT BE RETURNED(Exception: only for  self-stamped and addressed envelopes which accompany the  flash drive)
